Usually, the pair host BBC Breakfast together from Monday to Wednesday.
Then, Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty fill the role on Thursday-Saturday.
While no reason was given, viewers seemed to catch on quickly as to why Jon and Sally weren’t in this morning.
BBC Breakfast fans couldn’t resist pointing out that the iconic duo were missing.
Taking to X/Twitter, one wrote: “No Jon and Sally this morning, Bank holiday for them.”
A second who was delighted to see Nina back presenting, said: “Nice to see Nina back presenting, what a beautiful smile.”
BBC News' biggest blunders
The Beeb has suffered a number of gaffes recently, here we take a look at the biggest - and funniest - blunders to date
- Maryam Moshiri flashing her middle finger during a live bulletin
- Tongued-tied sports presenter Chetan Pathak dropping an X-rated word during report
- BBC Look North’s Peter Levy asking viewers “how big their holes are” during innuendo-filled segment
- Newsreader Roger Johnson left scrambling after saying “cuckoo c*ck” instead of clock
- BBC Breakfast’s Nina Warhurst mixing up the names of her co-hosts live on air
- News correspondent mistaken for shop staff and interrupted during report
- Lukwesa Burak left speechless after being caught stretching during a break
- Newsreader forced to run across the studio during epic camera mishap
A third added: “It’s Ben and Nina today.”
Meanwhile, Carol Kirkwood gave the latest Easter Monday weather report.
Carol told viewers the week ahead will be ‘unsettled’ with ‘spells of wind and rain’, ‘turning very mild’.
Most recently, BBC Breakfast suffered another presenter shake-up as Jon went missing from screens.
Sally had to front the programme alongside BBC Breakfast resident, Ben.
Jon was nowhere to be seen on the show and no reason for his absence was given.
Ben, 43, is no newcomer to hosting the show and has taken on the role numerous times before.
He has replaced Jon on two further separate occasions during the course of the last two months.
Elsewhere on BBC Breakfast, fans were less than impressed after host Rachel Burden made a major on-air blunder.
The BBC Radio 5 Live anchor, who has been a substitute on BBC Breakfast since 2015, co-hosted the Easter Sunday episode with Ben.
The duo presented extensive coverage of the aftermath of Saturday’s annual Oxford v Cambridge Boat Race, including some of the sickness faced by the crew.
Yet when Rachel accidentally declared Oxford the winners of the Men’s River Thames clash – as opposed to actual champs Cambridge – viewers were quick to call her out.
BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer.
