Towie stars’ changing faces revealed as show legends reunite for explosive new series
FOURTEEN years after it exploded onto screens, hit reality TV show Towie is still going strong – and some familiar faces have returned for the drama-filled new series.
Lots has changed since those early days on the show including the appearance of some cast members.
The Towie gang have been open and honest about their procedures over the years, documenting tweaks here and there in the pursuit of perfection.
The path of Botox, fillers and veneers hasn’t always been a smooth journey though and there have been regrets along the way.
We take a look at the evolving faces of some of Towie’s best-loved names:
Lauren Goodger
In 2011, Lauren Goodger spent £4,000 to get a new nose after feeling insecure about a “prominent bump” that formed after her nephew hit her with a toy fire engine.
“I do feel prettier and sexier, I can’t wait to go out and show off my new look,” she previously told The Daily Mail.
Not only that she’s had a number of other facial alterations from Botox to injectables in her lips and fillers to create her famously defined jawline.
“It’s just filler, she just injects it into your jaw,” Lauren previously told The Sun.
In a column for New! magazine, the star, 37, previously revealed she had her fillers dissolved and felt she looked “a lot classier and less fake”.
Junaid Ahmed
There’s often a sad story behind someone’s desire to change their look, and that was the case for Lauren’s close pal Junaid.
The popular reality star decided to alter his appearance after a horrific bully attack as a teen.
“I did not have my nose job due to vanity reasons or anything like that,” Junaid said. “Don’t get me wrong, the trolling since I’ve appeared on Towie has been horrific.
“The first thing people have jumped to is my nose, which is fair enough. But my nose needed to be fixed.
“When I was younger, I was so horrifically bullied in school. I was attacked on a few occasions, and the bullies broke my nose in three different places.
“This wasn’t something I just thought out, because I’ve had a lot of comments like, ‘Oh, he’s just come on reality TV, and he’s getting his nose’. Far from the point.
“This is years of torment that I had to go through, and I’ve had breathing issues since the age of 16, when my nose was broken by the bullies.”
Junaid has spent over £10,000 on surgery before joining Towie .
The star has been open about having a number of enhancements made to his face, including having his teeth done in Turkey.
Ella Rae Wise
Glam Ella, who is currently dating Dan Edgar, has been open about the cosmetic procedures she’s had done.
At one time or another she has posted about having her lips tattooed, teeth whitened, lips filled and breasts enhanced.
The beautician makes sure she only has small doses of Botox though for a more natural effect.
Giving an insight into her regimen, she said: “On a regular I have Baby Tox as I like to still be able to show my expressions, profhilo which is adding hyaluronic acid into the skin which we already have naturally & I have just had the other day anti-wrinkle injections in my chin to dispose the 1000% dimples.”
Despite having perfect gnashers, she has had a procedure to enhance her smile.
Taking to Instagram, Ella revealed the results of having her teeth straightened and whitened.
Dani Imbert
Dani has perhaps had the biggest roller coaster journey when it comes to Towie procedures.
After speculation from fans, she insisted she has never had surgery on her face though has had treatments like Botox.
She said: “Tiny amount of nose filler just in the tip of my nose to give that lil pixie effect.
“I also have had cheek filler.”
Dani became seriously ill when she underwent a Brazilian Bum Lift in 2022.
Talking about the operation, she told OK! magazine: “I had some complications and was in hospital for four or five days.
“I felt like I was at death’s door. I was crying every day.
“I was on morphine, swollen for weeks and couldn’t believe what I’d done.”
Amy Childs
Towie original Amy is one star who has voiced regret over her cosmetic choices in the past.
Her list of procedures includes two boob jobs, Botox, lip fillers and veneers – and Amy said she regretted “everything”.
She said: “I honestly look back at pictures now and I look like a freak.
“I’ve got so much advice to give to you, it will definitely put you off surgery just so you know. I regret everything I’ve had done, everything.”
Amy had her first boob job in her teens, taking her breasts from an A-cup to a D-cup. She had another at the age of 23, boosting her to a 30EE.
She said: “If I could speak to 20-year-old Amy I would spell it out – because if she knew what was going to happen she wouldn’t have had anything done at all.”
Amber Turner
Last year Amber explained that she was having a “few facial tweaks”, including Botox on her forehead and fillers for her lips.
The blonde beauty said: “I’m going to have baby Botox in my forehead – I like having baby Botox as it still allows me to move my forehead but doesn’t make me look completely frozen.
“Then I’m going to have a little bit in my lips to make them look a little more plump.”
In 2017 Stunning Amber boosted her cleavage from a B cup to a D cup.
Speaking at the National Television Awards in London, she told us: “I love them, I’m so happy with them. I got them for me, not anyone else, and I feel more 100 times more confident.
“They’ve changed my life.
“I haven’t really got much more attention from blokes, I just feel better about myself.”
