GEORGE Gilbey’s close friend Ricci Guarnaccio has said that ‘no seven year old should bury their dad’ after the Gogglebox star’s shock death.
The TV personality tragically died after ‘falling from a height’ aged just 40 on Tuesday (26 March 2024) morning.

Ricci, who struck up a friendship with George on Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, has shared his heartbreak after losing his beloved friend.
Speaking to The Sun, Ricci said: “It’s doesn’t feel real at all. It’s a bit of a strange one.
“What most hurting is that a seven year old daughter, a seven year old little girl has now got a bury a father, which no daughter should be doing, or your child should be doing.
“Even for his mother, she lost Pete two years ago and that was really hard and now she’s got a bury, a son.
“I can’t imagine the pain that she’s going through to be honest with you.”
George’s step-dad Pete McGary, who he appeared on Gogglebox with, passed away aged 71 in 2021.

George’s devastated mum Linda McGarry has thanked fans for their touching messages.
She chose George’s close friend Ricci to speak on her behalf while she tries to come to terms with what has happened.
Linda wants to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sent condolences.
“She just wants everyone to remember him for who he was. She’s obviously hurt at the minute but it’s hugely appreciated.
“For the family, for Linda, she really, really wants everyone to know she’s taken back.
“And she’s getting shown a lot of the messages that’s come through because she doesn’t really deal with Twitter and stuff.
“All the messages that people have been saying – all the stories, all the good times that George’s has brought to their lives, and all the funny memories they’ve got from Gogglebox and Big Brother – it does mean a lot to her.
“So if people could keep doing that, it would be appreciated.”
George was tragically declared dead at the EGL Homecare site in Shoebury, Essex, on Wednesday.
Yesterday a work colleague who was with George when he fell to his death was arrested for manslaughter.
Workmates pleaded with him to come down, but he tumbled 80ft through a skylight and landed on the concrete below.
Today the colleague has been released under investigation.
George was best known for his time on Channel 4’s Gogglebox between 2013 and 2014.
He starred on Gogglebox with his mum Linda and step-dad Pete.

GEORGE Gilbey was snapped smiling just days before his tragic death this morning.
Just five days ago the star proudly posted the photo to social media.
In the snap the star donned a black hoodie and appeared to have been out exercising.
He captioned the photo, which sat alongside a pic of a gym card: “Done. Full membership.”
