Stunned Dragons’ Den viewers do double-take as hopeful is spitting image of MasterChef legend Gregg Wallace
STUNNED Dragons’ Den fans did a double-take after mistaking one hopeful for MasterChef legend Gregg Wallace.
BBC One viewers couldn’t believe their eyes when husband-and-wife Ian and Louise Toal entered the Den during tonight’s show.
The pair had prepared an elaborate pitch for their dog smoothies, where they were hoping for a £50,000 investment in return for a 10% stake in Furr Boost.
But home audiences were left a little distracted by Ian’s incredible likeness to TV chef, Gregg.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, someone joked, “Why is greg wallace on dragons den may i ask?”
Another said, “Nice to see Gregg Wallace has started making food and drink for dogs now.”
One more added, “Greg Wallace has had a change of career it seems.”
Despite his familar face, four of the five Dragons turned the couple down.
Thankfully, Touker Suleyman saved them from rejection – asking for a 30% stake in return for his investment.
Before backing out, Deborah Meaden had shown a particular is interested in investing.
However, she went on to question Furr Boost’s branding, saying it could be “limiting”.
Louise went on to defend her business, though, saying that she thinks it’s “catchy” and “stands out on shelves”.
Each of the smoothies contain meat, fruit and vegetables to help your dog’s wellbeing.
They aim to help towards digestion, skin and coat, anxiety, metabolism and immunity.
A wide range of products are available to buy starting from £4 up to £48 for a variety pack.
