I hit the jackpot when I found £2k worth of Mulberry bags for a tenner, here’s how to tell straight away if they’re real
A WOMAN was left wondering if she managed to nab £2,000 worth of Mulberry bags for just a tenner in the charity shop.
Francesca is a pro at finding incredible deals in the stores, and regularly posts videos on her social media pages of her latest buys.
And in a recent clip, she said she’d found three bags and a purse, all purporting to be genuine Mulberry.
“Did I find £2000 worth of bags for just £10 in the charity shops?” she said in the TikTok video.
“I’ll let you be the judge of that.”
Holding up a red one first, Francesca said: “I found this Mulberry bag for £3 and it sells online for £995!”
She also found a black satchel one for £2.99 – which retails for £695 if real.
As well as a purse that cost her just £2.
She concluded a haul with another patchwork-style Mulberry bag, but said she’s “pretty sure it’s not genuine”.
People in the comments section were quick to weigh in, with many telling Francesca how she could authenticate the bags.
“Show us the disc back and front and the ‘made in’ label back and front,” one wrote.
“The purse will have a heat stamp inside the card holder and I will tell you straight away.”
“I’m guessing none of them are real,” another said.
To which Francesca replied: “I think the purse and the black satchel are.”
“The red aren’t neither is the black satchel maybe the purse is – you can get them authenticated,” a third commented.
“If you take it to mulberry they will but sadly they are fake I think looking at the stitching,” someone else said.
“I used to work at mulberry and they don’t look genuine, sorry.”
“I’m a volunteer at the Salvation Army and I sort the designer items.. some of the things I price are out off this world,” another wrote.
“Darling none of them are genuine,” someone else insisted.
“Sadly I think they might be replicas,” another wrote.
“The stitching is not quite right. Still bargains though!”
“Only the Mulberry purse is genuine,” someone else wrote.

As someone else said: “They are all fake sadly. Happy to authenticate them for you!”

While someone else noted that Mulberry is “easily faked”.
