Earth Day event set
at community center
An Earth Day celebration hosted by the city’s recreation department is planned April 21 at the Mill Valley Community Center.
Over 40 exhibits are planned on sustainable living, green energy, healthy eating and more.
The gathering is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The community center is at 180 Camino Alto.

NOVATO
GOP women to host
education speaker
The Novato Republican Women will hold a luncheon on April 9.
The featured speaker will be Ann Hsu, head of school at Bert Hsu Academy, a bicultural K-12 school in San Francisco.
The event is at 11 a.m. at Marin Country Club at 500 Country Club Drive. The cost is $32 for members and $37 for guests.

Shred session set
at local church
A document disposal event is planned April 20.
The public is invited to bring sensitive papers for shredding. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of Loretto Church, 1806 Novato Blvd.
Proceeds benefit St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin.

The Marin County Free Library will host a virtual presentation, “Facing Mecca: Reflections of Islam in Art,” on April 11.
