Troy man arrested on narcotics sale charges
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Troy man has been arrested following an investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics, according to the Troy Police Department. Arnold Monroe, 65, was charged with third and fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
On March 26 at 1 p.m., Troy Police, in tandem with the Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Office, executed a search warrant at a home near Sixth Avenue between Glen Avenue and Swift Street in connection to an ongoing narcotics investigation. A suspect, identified as Monroe, was stopped by police in the roadway near the residence and was searched in accordance with the warrant.
Monroe was reportedly found to be in possession of quantities of crack cocaine and heroin, resulting in his arrest. He was arraigned at the Troy City Court and remanded to the Rensselaer County Jail.
