Fairview Superintendent promises to help toward expenses; Stray bullet still a mystery
FAIRVIEW, Okla. (KFOR) - Who shot a woman with what is being called a stray bullet while sitting in her home is still a mystery in Fairview.
The school Superintendent, Craig Church, is promising to help a woman cover medical expenses, if he's the one who shot her, according to his attorney.
News 4 first reported about this earlier this week that Church told the Major County Sheriff it's possible he is responsible. Church says, he was hunting coyotes in the area, around the time the shooting happened.
Police confirm, the bullet is lodged in the woman's chest and until it can be removed, investigators won't know who's responsible.
The Sheriff says Church is cooperating with investigators at this time.
