Schoharie County DOH to host free rabies clinics
COBLESKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Schoharie County Department of Health announced its 2024 rabies clinic schedule on Tuesday. There will be four free clinics with one in May, June, September, and October.
The clinics will be held at three different locations. The first and last ones will be held at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds located at 113 Sunshine Drive in Cobleskill on May 30 and October 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The second clinic will be held at Middleburgh Town Garage, 142 Cotton Hill in Middleburgh on June 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The third clinic will be held at Fulton Town Hall, located at 1168 Bear Ladder Road in West Fulton on September 5 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Proof of vaccination is required at the clinic to receive a 3-year certificate, but tags are not a valid form of proof. The animals must be at least 3 months old and the DOH asks that no sick animals are brought to the clinic.
Animals must be properly restrained or they will not be vaccinated. Cats and ferrets should be brought in a carrier or well-sealed, sturdy container.
