2024 Emmy Awards date set (and it’s a Sunday)
The Emmys are heading back to Sunday. The (real) 2024 Emmy Awards will air live on Sunday, September 15 coast to coast at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on ABC, the network announced Saturday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. The show will be available the next day on Hulu.
The ceremony will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. A host and production team for the telecast will be announced at a later date.
While not announced, the Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies are typically held the weekend before, so earmark Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8 for those.

The past two Emmy ceremonies were on Mondays. The 2022 Emmys were held on September 12 and the 2023 ceremony was originally scheduled for September 18 before it was moved to Monday, January 15, aka Martin Luther King Day, due to the writers’ and actors’ strikes.
Though the calendar year 2024 will feature two Emmy shows, the eligibility period remains unaffected. Show that air between June 1, 2023, and May 31, 2024, will be eligible at the upcoming 76th Primetime Emmys.
Nominations will be announced on Thursday, July 17.
