ASDA shoppers are going wild for giant packs of biscuit favourites which scan for just 22p at the tills.
Each pack was on sale for 22p, containing custard cream, malted milk and shortcake biscuits – with a whole pallet adding up to just £2.64.
The shopper said: “Today’s bargain at Asda York, 22p a pack – and yes there’s a pallet full, dated September.”
One said: “I was able to get a six-pack and took two to my nan and grandad.
“I’ve never seen them so happy.”
Another said: “They’re 12p in Morrisons.”
A third said: “Nope. None of this stuff is ever in our Asda.”
The Elkes family has been making biscuits at its factory in the Staffordshire market town of Uttoxeter for more than a century.
On its website, Elkes says: “We use only the highest quality of ingredients.
“We have a wealth of baking expertise which has been passed through the generations.
“We have been baking biscuits since 1908 for everyone to enjoy.”
Asda shoppers have snapped up whole crates of “35p” Pringles after a sign mix-up – only to learn they’d been charged the full price.
