FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Happy Friday!
As we wrap up a near-perfect winter week in Central Ohio, with lots of sunshine and very mild temperatures, changes are on the horizon! For today, we're still very mild, with highs in the low to middle 60s. We'll see some sunshine, with partly sunny to mainly cloudy skies throughout the day, and a bit of a breeze.
A few showers then move in along a cold front tonight. This will be very spotty rain, and a lot of it looks to stick along and southeast of I-71.
That rain lasts through the first half of Saturday, lingering a bit longer for our far eastern and southeastern areas. Once again, it is very scattered. Highs Saturday will still be mild, in the upper 50s.
We start to cool off on Sunday, with highs dropping back to the upper 40s under partly cloudy skies. Most of us remain dry Sunday, with our far southern counties being the exception. It's in these areas we could see a quick shower from a system to our south.
By Monday, our low pressure system moves in, and temperatures cool. Expect a wintry mix, especially into the afternoon, with highs in the middle 40s. We'll then see a transition to some snow during the nighttime and into very early Tuesday morning.
