BUFFALO, N.Y (WIVB) — A judge has issued two orders in civil cases against various companies in connection to the Tops mass shooting.
One ruling denied a motion by MEAN LLC seeking to be dismissed from a civil suit. The denial means that the gun accessory manufacturer known as Mean Arms could be held liable in the May 14, 2022 attack.
Mean Arms is a Georgia-based company that produces an accessory called the MA Lock, which attorneys say can be easily removed in order to shoot bullets faster.
The other ruling allows two employees of an Iowa body armor company to be excluded from the civil case. A judge granted a motion to dismiss two officials at RMA Armament from the lawsuit.
