My loaded potato slices are a guaranteed crowd-pleaser for Super Bowl Sunday, they’re addictive & use canned chili
WHETHER your team wins or loses this Super Bowl Sunday, these cheesy appetizers may improve your night.
A food fanatic has shared her loaded potato slice recipe, which she called a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.
The TikToker recommended using canned chili to top off your loaded potato slices[/caption]Ashley Brean (@imashleybreannn) demonstrated how to make the dish ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
“The Super Bowl is right around the corner you guys and I have the perfect appetizer idea for you to make,” the TikToker said in her video.
For her first step, Ashley fried up a packet of bacon and saved the grease from the pan.
“Chop that bacon up and just set it aside,” she advised her followers.
Next, she moved on to the russet potatoes, which she sliced up and placed in a bowl.
Ashley then added some of the bacon grease as well as oil, salt and pepper, and some smoked paprika and mixed the ingredients.
“Now we’re going to get our baking tray and line it with some parchment paper,” she said.
“We’re going to add those potatoes and bake them in the oven at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.”
After 20 minutes, she recommended flipping the potato slices and baking them for another 20 minutes.
As the potato slices cooked, Ashley prepared the chili for the topping.
She used a can of Yellowstone Angus Beef Chili, which is available for $12 at Walmart.
“Warm it up and just set that aside,” she told her audience.
Once the potatoes were cooked, Ashley sprinkled some grated cheese on each slice.
She also added the chopped-up bacon to half of the potato slices.
“We’re going to throw them in the oven and once that cheese has melted, that’s how you know they’re done,” she said.
On the other half of the potato slices, she added the chili along with sour cream.
