Instant Analysis: Miami Dolphins 30, New York Jets 0
Quick thoughts from South Florida Sun Sentinel staffers on the Miami Dolphins’ victory over the New York Jets at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens:

No Tyreek Hill. Injuries across the roster. But no hangover from Monday night’s loss, either, as the Dolphins looked dangerous again in romping over the Jets.
Just what the good script of this season ordered heading into three big games to end the regular season.
Chris Perkins, Dolphins Columnist
Thankfully, this was the yawner it should have been as the defense and special teams set up the early scores and then the offense, led by wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, did some damage later. Miami got away with resting its key players, which was a wise strategy. Now comes the biggest part of the schedule, the three-game regular-season finish.
David Furones, Dolphins Writer
This is what the Dolphins needed just six days after a Monday night meltdown that could’ve sent the team into disarray. A convincing win like this one, dominant in every phase of the game, reinvigorates Miami with confidence heading into the final three-game stretch of the Cowboys, Ravens and Bills. And they did it without Tyreek Hill and three-fourths of the starting secondary. That is encouraging as players come back for this key stretch to come.

The Dolphins got exactly what they needed after the Tennessee Monday nighter, routing the Jets for the most decisive season sweep in the Dolphins’ 58 seasons playing New York. Now up, three big litmus tests (Dallas, at Baltimore, Buffalo).

Even though the Jets entered as a 5-8 team and a big underdog, the Dolphins absolutely needed this razor-sharp rebound from the Titans loss as they head into the final three games of the regular season against top-shelf teams. The Dolphins now are one win from the franchise’s best record in 15 years (the last time they won the AFC East) and two from the best mark since 1990.
