Trump adviser faces backlash after vulgar comments about Casey DeSantis
Longtime Donald Trump adviser Roger Stone is getting some pushback after he alluded to the "c" word to describe Casey DeSantis, the wife of Trump's Florida GOP rival Ron DeSantis.
Stone, who has admitted to being a "dirty trickster" when it comes to politics, reportedly wrote "SeeUNextTuesday" in a post on social media about Casey DeSantis. The post itself, by conservative talk show host Mike Crispi, ridiculed Casey DeSantis for constantly talking about her children on the campaign trail for her husband.
After the comment from Stone spread online, the two sides quickly dug in. Jenna Ellis, the former Trump attorney who pleaded guilty in the Georgia RICO case alleging election subversion and then endorsed Ron DeSantis, claimed the MAGA world was defending Stone's behavior.
"Instead of saying, 'yeah Roger Stone shouldn’t use 'c***' to describe Casey DeSantis, that’s gross and low class,' MAGA is actually defending it," Ellis wrote. "This is what happens when you lose an objective moral metric and see the political world only through 'Trump supporters good, everyone else bad.' Idiots."

Indeed, Stone had some defenders. Trump ally and self-described journalist Laura Loomer said, "ROGER STONE DID NOTHING WRONG FACTS ARE FACTS."
But the response from others against Stone was relatively swift, according to Newsweek.
"Stone's comment sparked an immediate backlash on the platform, where users wrote about 'the unacceptable behavior from Team Trump,' including using a despicable slur against Casey DeSantis," the outlet reported on Saturday. "Others called Stone's behavior trashy and disrespectful and asked if the Trump supporter was 'actively trying to ensure that even if Trump is nominee we won't vote for him,' one wrote. 'Because it's working,' the same user added."
The report also includes the following quote from social media.
"Only the best people. Roger Stone, a longtime adviser to Donald Trump, called Ron DeSantis' wife Casey a c**t. Being too cute by half, he used the slang term 'SeeUNextTuesday'," wrote an X user on the platform. "Reminder- as bad as Trump is, he surrounds himself with people like Stone, who are just as bad."
