Fire that displaced 20 Hartford residents under investigation

Twenty people were displaced following a fire at an apartment complex in Hartford on Sunday.
The fire was reported at 3:52 p.m. at an apartment building at 26 Sherman St. in the city’s West End neighborhood, according to the Hartford Fire Department.
Firefighters responded to the report of a structure fire and, upon arrival, found a fire on the third floor of the building, fire officials said. The flames were quickly knocked down and contained to the area of origin, according to the fire department.
Fire officials said one person was evaluated at the scene for possible smoke inhalation, but he declined to go to the hospital.
No other injuries were reported.
The 20 people displaced due to the blaze included 15 adults and five children, fire officials said. They received assistance from the fire department’s Special Services Unit and the American Red Cross.
The Hartford Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
