Strictly Come Dancing star laughed in the judges’ faces after getting overmarked says show legend – did you spot it?
STRICTLY Come Dancing star James Jordan has called for the judging panel to be ‘removed’ after claiming one contestant ‘laughed in their faces’.
James, who is a former Strictly pro, was left seething after watching Nigel Harman and his dance partner Katya Jones score 29 for their foxtrot on Saturday.
His outburst comes after Nigel Harman messed up his foxtrot[/caption]Holby City star Nigel was left cringing following their performance last weekend, as he had kicked Katya’s foot and “made the rest up”.
Yet the judges – Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke – still heaped praise on them.
James, who is a former Strictly pro, has now blasted the panel for scoring him so highly.
Speaking to HELLO! for his Strictly The Truth podcast, James fumed: “They went up, they got their scores, [Nigel] turns to Claudia and said, ‘We should go wrong more often!’
“Even he is laughing at what the judges have scored him. Even he thinks it’s a mockery.
“There’s no point them sitting there. Let’s get rid of the judges and just let the public vote for who they want because they didn’t do their job.”
Nigel and Katya performed their foxtrot to Etta James’ I Just Want To Make Love To You.
But afterwards, as he spoke to the judges, the former EastEnders actor was left holding his hat over his face in embarrassment.
He told co-host Claudia Winkleman: “I may have got on the wrong foot and kicked Katya and then made the rest of it up for a while. But apart from that, it was very good!”
Craig, Motsi and Shirley each gave Nigel and Katya a mark of 7. Anton then swept in with an 8.
Jumping up and down in surprise, Nigel mused: “I think we should go wrong more often! Definitely. I think it’s the way forward!”
But James raged in his podcast: “It’s nonsensical.
“It would never happen of course, because they wouldn’t allow it to happen, but I would love to sit in front of the judges and say, ‘Can you justify that to me. Because you might think you can pull the wool over the public’s eyes…’
“They’ve been watching it for 20 years, they know what’s right and what’s wrong. They’re not stupid.”
