My dramatic fall decor DIY uses all Hobby Lobby buys – people say it’s ‘gorgeous’ but see a problem for pet owners
A HOME decor expert has shared how she transformed her home into a festive fall wonderland using affordable Hobby Lobby finds.
The extravagant seasonal decor might have been stylish, but pet lovers pointed out a potential problem with the design.
“This is how I put together my fall entryway,” said Macy Blackwell (@macy.blackwell).
She used large zip ties to attach the brown and yellow colored garlands featuring pinecones to her staircase which she got from Hobby Lobby.
Macy zip-tied the garlands every five feet until she reached the bottom of the curved staircase.
And the dramatic design didn’t stop there.
She placed an assortment of faux pumpkins underneath the circular table next to the stairs.
The array of multi-colored and various shaped gourds added extra glam to the space.
The decor expert then placed the pumpkins going up the stairs as well – along with some extra color.
“I used small greenery picks to fill in the spaces,” she explained.
Macy added more fall magic until there were dozens of pumpkins all around.
She continued to transform the table by adding stems that were also purchased from Hobby Lobby into the vase.
Lanterns and more pumpkins also joined the tabletop grouping.
The creative DIYer had gained some admirers for her festive upgrade.
“Gorgeous decor,” exclaimed one enthused follower.
“It’s beautiful!” another viewer agreed.
Still, pet parents noticed some potential hazards.
“The way my dog would be running around the house with all the greenery,” one follower pointed out.
“My cat and dog would not allow this,” another viewer chimed in.
Yet another follower was concerned about having the decor with her human housemates.
“My children and husband would obliterate this. I can’t have anything nice.”
