Firefighter injured in CT house fire that left family displaced

A firefighter was hospitalized following a house fire in Norfolk Sunday that called for mutual aid from several area departments.
Firefighters were called to a home on Litchfield Road in the morning hours and found that the family of four who lives there was able to get out safely, according to the Norfolk Fire Department.
One firefighter suffered a wrist injury and was taken to an area hospital, the department said. The firefighter was treated and released.
The blaze prompted a response for mutual aid from fire departments in Harwinton, Bantam, Thomaston, Woodbury and Watertown.
The damage from the blaze left the home uninhabitable, according to fire officials.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
