Concord woman identified as fatal East Bay shooting victim
RODEO — Authorities have identified a woman shot to death last weekend.
Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office deputies found 28-year-old Daniella Avila, of Concord, with a gunshot wound when they arrived to the 100 block of Rodeo Avenue on Saturday night about 10:35 p.m. Fire paramedics worked to save her, but she died at the scene.
The sheriff’s office has not arrested anybody or said what they believe the motive to be. The agency had no information on possible suspects.
The homicide is the second one the agency has investigated this year.
