The A-list stars’ sons and daughters set to hit screens this autumn – but do you know their famous parents?
JUST when you thought we already had enough nepo babies to last a lifetime, along comes another generation of actors whose parents are mega famous.
This even bigger wave of up-and-coming kids have already landed plum roles in telly dramas and movies – though their celebrity relatives are pure coincidence, of course.
Keep a look out for these famous surnames as they pop up on your TV and cinema screens over the coming months.
And if their names do not ring a bell, then some of their faces probably, will as many are doppelgangers of their showbiz mums and dads.
Here, we highlight some of the nepo baby wannabes to keep your eye out for this autumn.
BRANDON THOMAS LEE
Son of Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee
HIS mum is famous for running in a red bathing suit on Nineties beach drama Baywatch and, of course, that home movie she made with rocker hubby Tommy Lee.
Thankfully Brandon, 27, moved into a more conservative form of film making.
He’s been in movies Sierra Burgess Is A Loser (2018) and Cosmic Sin (2021), and was most recently on reality TV show The Hills: New Beginnings on Prime Video.
He also co-produced the Netflix documentary Pamela: A Love Story, about his mum, released earlier this year.
JACK QUAID
Son of Meg Ryan and Dennis Quaid
STARTING with a small role in 2012 movie The Hunger Games in his teens, Jack has been working his way up the acting ranks.
The 31-year-old can draw on plenty of experience from dad Dennis, best known for Innerspace, and mum Megan, star of When Harry Met Sally.
He recently starred as scientist Richard Feynman in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer and was in 2022’s Scream.
Next year we are likely to see him pop up in Amazon Studios’ action comedy Heads Of State with Idris Elba.
LILY MO SHEEN
Daughter of Michael Sheen and Kate Beckinsale
ANOTHER lucky wannabe, with not one, but two famous parents.
Mum Kate starred in Pearl Harbor, while dad Michael has played Tony Blair in three films, including The Queen, opposite Helen Mirren.
Lily, 24, got parts alongside Kate in 2006 film Underworld Revolution and 2009’s Everybody’s Fine.
On both occasions she played a young version of her mother.
Last year she appeared in The Unbearable Weight Of Massive Talent alongside Nicolas Cage and man of the moment Pedro Pascal.
WEST DUCHOVNY
Daughter of David Duchovny and Tea Leoni
AT only 24, West has a string of TV and movie roles under her belt, the most outstanding of which is in Netflix drama Painkiller.
In it, she plays whistleblower Shannon Schaeffer, who helps uncover the full extent of the real-life OxyContin scandal in the US.
She has also been in TV series Saint X.
One of her earliest roles was in the revival of The X-Files, the show that saw dad David shoot to fame opposite Gillian Anderson.
West’s mum Tea starred in movies including Bad Boys and Jurassic Park III.
She married David at the height of his fame in 1997 and they divorced in 2014.
DEACON REESE PHILIPPE
Son of Ryan Philippe and Reese Witherspoon
THIS lucky 19-year-old inherited his looks – and passion for acting – from two stunning parents.
Dad Ryan was the ultimate Nineties pin-up when he starred in Cruel Intentions, which also featured his future wife Reese.
They married in 1999 but divorced in 2007.
Reese was nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for 2014 movie Wild, a gong she previously won for playing Johnny Cash’s lover in 2005 film Walk The Line.
As well as nurturing a music career, Deacon is now following in his parents’ footsteps and has already starred in teen drama Never Have I Ever on Netflix.
TY TENNANT
Son of David and Georgia Tennant
OF his TV dramas to date, two have had his dad in the lead role – the BBC’s Around The World In 80 days in 2021 and Prime Video’s Good Omens in 2023.
Dad David met fellow actress Georgia on the set of Doctor Who.
They married in 2011 and he officially adopted her son Ty, who she had at 17.
Now 21-year-old Ty’s CV features a string of huge shows, including Game Of Thrones spin-off House Of The Dragon, as well as BBC medical drama Casualty and sci-fi thriller War Of The Worlds.
SOSIE BACON
Daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick
MANY nepo babies having two acting parents, but it’s more unusual when they are still married, like Kevin and Kyra have been for 35 years.
Dad Kevin’s films include in JFK, A Few Good Men and X-Men: First Class, while mum Kyra was in Born On The Fourth Of July and crime drama The Closer.
Sosie, 31, appeared in horror movie Smile and Prime Video comedy-drama As We See It, both 2022.
She also starred opposite Kate Winslet in acclaimed drama Mare Of Easttown the year before.
MARGARET QUALLEY
Daughter of Andie MacDowell and Paul Qualley
WITH two models as parents, one of whom also went into acting, Margaret had a lot going for her when she entered showbiz.
Mum Andie is best known for being the love interest in Four Weddings And A Funeral.
Margaret, 28, first followed in her father’s footsteps, modelling in her teens.
She then starred opposite her mum in Netflix drama Maid in 2021, which saw her nominated for a string of awards.
She also has a string of movies with big stars in the pipeline and last year appeared in film Sanctuary.
