CT man charged with sexually assaulting a minor following DCF complaint
A 27-year-old man was arrested at his home in Norwalk Wednesday on a warrant charging him with sexually assaulting a minor, police said.
According to the Norwalk Police Department, the Special Victim’s Unit received a complaint from the Connecticut Department of Children and Families in May 2023 regarding the sexual assault of a minor.
Detectives from the Special Victims Unit, with the help of DCF, identified Marco Rodas as the suspect, police said.
Based on evidence from the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Rodas by the Stamford Superior Court, according to police.
Detectives located Rodas at his home on Wednesday and placed him under arrest. He is charged with first-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor.
He was being held in lieu of a $750,000 bond and is schedule to appear in court on Sept. 6.
