Celebrity Gogglebox fans all say the same thing as show favourites make long-awaited comeback
CELEBRITY Gogglebox fans have been left jumping for joy after two show favourites made a big comeback.
Viewers of the C4 programme were delighted on Friday night as Rylan Clark and his mum Linda made a long-awaited return.
The pair have been on a break from Celebrity Gogglebox for two years but they are finally back on the sofa together.
Viewers were thrilled to see the mother and son opening the latest episode, with a shot of Linda rummaging through Rylan’s fridge.
They then burst out laughing as Rylan asked Linda to retrieve a tub of Tzatziki before she attempted to say it – and failed.
Later in the show, while watching an episode of Jamie Oliver’s One Pan Wonders, Linda made fans chuckle again after calling naan bread “nan bread”.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer gushed: “No double act will ever be topped by Rylan and Linda!”
Another added: “It’s really good to have @Rylan & Mum back on #celebritygogglebox!”
And a third said: “Yay! @Rylan and Linda are back!”
Rylan and Linda joined the cast of Celebrity Gogglebox in 2019, but they bowed out in 2021.
The pair decided to take an extended break as Linda was struggling with her health, having been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in her 30s.
Speaking about his bond with his mum, Rylan previously said: “I cannot imagine my life without her. I mean she has gone through quite a lot with her health, she has got Crohn’s disease.
“She is on a drip feed now like pretty much 24/7, whenever she can get on it.
“I will do anything for my mum. Like, she will not listen.”
He went on: “Gogglebox is the easiest thing I have ever done because I literally sit on my kitchen sofa and they go, ‘Right here we go’ and I don’t have to say a word.”
Last December, Rylan gave fans an update after Linda repeatedly missed episodes of his Radio 2 show due to ill health. She enjoys joining him on the airways to chat to listeners.
Rylan said at the time: “Just a note to say. Mummy Linda hasn’t been on the show lately as she hasn’t been too unwell but she’s doing good now… thanks for all your messages. She’ll be back tomorrow.”
