Love Island fans slam Islander as ‘a walking red flag’ after bitter row kicks off in challenge
LOVE Island viewers are rallying online to highlight one Islander’s ‘red flag’ behaviour.
The ITV2 dating show has been back on viewers’ screens for just over two weeks, and it has not disappointed.
Hosted by Maya Jama, Love Island premiered on June 5 with a new villa full of hopeful romantics looking for love.
However, contestant Sammy Root, who was partnered with Jess Harding, has got viewers talking.
The couple has had a spat that has lasted a few days following Sammy flirting with a late addition to the villa, Leah Taylor after they were recoupled. Matters went from bad to worse when Leah appeared to entertain Mitchel Taylor‘s advances in the recoupling.
During their heated conversations, fans started to question Sammy’s behaviour.
One concerned viewer tweeted: “Sammy is literally a walking red flag.”
A second echoed this: “This Sammy guy is actually a walking red flag.”
Following a red flag emoji, an onlooker commented: “Sammy is such a red flag.”
Fans united online, all saying the same thing, with one spectator saying: “Sammy is a red flag now,” with another adding: “Sammy playing the victim is a huge red flag.”
A teaser trailer that dropped before tonight’s episode showed that not all was forgiven.
Maya crashed the contestant’s brunch dates asking first if everything was ok, to which Jess replied, “Not really,” and secondly, propositioning couples to vote for the two pairs they thought were least compatible.
Sammy also rubbed some viewers the wrong way during his brief time with Leah when he recoupled with Jess saying: “We have each other laughing in stitches. The last couple of days we had a little test, but it’s made me kind of realise that talking to other people, they’re not her.”
Later he said Leah was upset simply because he did not “choose” her.
During tonight’s episode the two were at each other again with one viewer commenting: “Is this whole episode just Sammy and Jess arguing in different areas of the villa?.”
With another adding: “Sammy and Jess need to wrap it up im sick of hearing their constant bickering.”
Love Island airs on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
