NATIONAL SUMMARY
Afternoon thunderstorms capable of producing hail and
damaging winds will erupt from far southern Kansas southward
through central and eastern Oklahoma to eastern Texas
tomorrow. Flash flooding will be possible from central
Montana to western South Dakota as thunderstorms continue to
drench the region. Farther west, rain and higher-elevation
snowmelt can lead to flooding in the Sierra Nevada as
thunderstorms develop by late morning or early afternoon.
Elsewhere in the mountains of the West, spotty afternoon
thundershowers are expected. Thunderstorms will primarily be
confined to the afternoon along the Gulf coast, although
they could occur anytime from southern Mississippi to the
Florida Panhandle.
