8 cops booked for melting idol for ‘gold’
A day after a nudge by Hisar Range additional director general of police (ADGP) Srikant Jadhav, Hansi police on Saturday registered an FIR against eight of its employees, including CIA-2 in-charge Nitin Kumar, for allegedly confiscating a valuable metal idol of Lord Budha from an Uttar Pradesh man and melting it down to make eight biscuits.Though cops had thought the metal was gold, it was actually an alloy.
