Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will reportedly receive the same treatment as the Princesses of York. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will receive a different treatment since they are no longer working royals, according to a report.
Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Lose The Royal Spotlight?
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to step back from their royal duties in 2020. They left the U.K. and settled in California.
According to the royal couple, they wanted t be financially independent of the firm. However, their decision also comes with consequences.
With King Charles' coronation coming up, the Sussexes should not expect to be given important seats. In any family events, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be placed near his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
"Now that they are no longer working royals, the Sussexes can expect to be treated the same way as Harry's cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who attend important family occasions but are not in the spotlight and do not appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony," Vanity Fair royal editor Katie Nicholl wrote.
"It has already been agreed that only working royals will make a balcony appearance during the coronation and sources have said that the focus will be on King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate."
Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Wanted Better Seats At Queen's Platinum Jubilee Celebration?
Nicholl's point was clear and royal fans had already observed it. Last year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were noticeably missing when the royal family made a balcony appearance at Trooping the Colour.
They were also seated beside Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, when they attended the National Thanksgiving Service in honor of Queen Elizabeth at St. Paul's Cathedral.
Their seats were not close to Kate Middleton, Prince William, King Charles and Queen Camilla since they are non-working royals. According to Daily Record, they allegedly wanted better seats.
British journalist and investigative reporter Tom Bower shared more details from the event. According to him, the Sussexes deliberately arrived late to make a grand entrance because it was what Netflix needed.
"And then as they walked down the aisle, they get to the seats in the row they are assigned and I'm told they then asked six other people sitting this side of the aisle could they move down so they could sit on the aisle itself," Bower continued. "And the usher apparently said to them 'you can't, you're sitting in seats eight or nine' or whatever it was and Harry said 'why?' And the usher said 'that's what your grandmother ordered.' I'm told that from a military man."
Prince Harry and Markle only made one public appearance during the Queen's 4-day Jubilee celebration. Nicholl believed they decided not to be more visible because they wouldn't be in the front row.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Want To Be Financially Independent
The royal couple spent their holidays in 2019 in Canada. After their return to the United Kingdom, Prince Harry and Markle announced that they would be stepping back from their royal duties.
"After many months of reflection and internal discussions, we have chosen to make a transition this year is starting to carve out a progressive new role within this institution. We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen," they wrote on Instagram.
The British royal family had reportedly been "spitting feathers" about some of the allegations Prince Harry made in his autobiography and the interviews to publicize them. However, the blue-blooded brood is allegedly now bracing themselves for a visit from the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle although they will have no official role in the proceedings.

The invitations for the official coronation of King Charles III on May 6 – including those for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle – are expected to be sent out soon. It is also reported that government advisers are putting plans in place in case Prince Harry decides to attend alone in a 48-hour whirlwind trip.
Sources close to the British royal family are saying that they are braced for a reunion with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Any meeting is reportedly likely to be a civil affair, with trust eroded b between the Sussex pair and other members of the royal family since the release of Prince Harry’s memoir titled Spare.
Should Prince Harry and Meghan Markle decide to attend King Charles’ coronation, they are said to become mere spectators and would not form an official part of the ceremony. There is the added complication that while Prince Edward and Sophie Rhys-Jones, the Earl and Countess of Wessex are working members of the royal family, they have not been awarded a Dukedom as conversations continue as to whether they would be granted the Duke and Duchess of Edinburg titles by the new monarch.
In other words, Prince Edward and Sophie would have to bow and curtsey to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. However, it is thought that the choreography of the royal family members would mean that they would not be put in that position publicly.
Palace insiders have also suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would be invited to attend the coronation of King Charles, but would not have an official role in the ceremony. Nor will the Sussex couple be invited to appear on the balcony at Buckingham Palace.
The same rules are expected to apply to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as with Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations when the balcony appearance was restricted to only working members of the royal family. Other details suggest that Members of the Parliament and the House of Lords would enter a ballot to attend with only 2,000 seats available.

Scobie confirmed that they wanted to work part-time for the monarchy. However, Queen Elizabeth vetoed the idea because she believed that in service, one has to give their all.
