A 22-year-old woman was arrested Friday night after she allegedly stabbed a man and her boyfriend during a fight over a phone in the East Village community, San Diego police said.
The argument was reported near 14th Street and Imperial Avenue about 10:30 p.m.
Police said one of the victims, a 19-year-old man, lent the woman his cell phone, and when she didn’t give it back, a fight broke out. The suspect reportedly stabbed the man several times in the back, San Diego police Officer Robert Heims said.
The victim’s boyfriend attempted to intervene during the argument and was also stabbed, Heims said.
The suspect was booked into jail early Saturday on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.
