Conor McGregor gives UFC return update and reveals he will have CT scan in coming days along and ‘start kicking soon’
CONOR MCGREGOR has revealed that he will “start kicking soon”, with a CT scan scheduled in the coming days.
The Notorious has been out of action since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 last July.

A comeback is still thought to be some way off, but the Irishman is expecting good news in the coming days.
Speaking to Sky Sports at the Monaco Grand Prix, he said: “The body’s doing good. I’m out here with my full team.
“Obviously I’m enjoying the Monaco Grand Prix then after that we’re going to up the training bit by bit.

“I should be able to kick now, I have another CT scan in the coming days and then I’ll be clear to kick.
“Once I can kick and grapple I’ll be back in in no time.
“Boxing training is going well, strength training and that’s all. I’m excited to get back.”
UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier believes that McGregor will return against Michael Chandler.

But DC reckons that he’d be better off accepting a trilogy fight with old rival Nate Diaz instead.
Cormier told ESPN: “Well, I’ve got two names. I know who he should fight, and I know who he probably will fight.
“Who he should fight is Nate Diaz. They should complete this trilogy. It’s a massive fight.
“Both guys are not necessarily in the title picture right now. It’s a fun fight. We’ve seen it twice and both of them have delivered.
“I think it’s evenly matched, so I think he should fight Nate Diaz.

“Who I believe he will fight is Michael Chandler because Michael Chandler has taken the UFC by storm.”
In addition to making further noise in the UFC, McGregor has vowed to one day return to the boxing ring.
He added: “Boxing is my first love in combat sports.
“I had such a great time the last time I was out there…
“Obviously my return will be inside the octagon for the UFC, mixed martial arts.
