THIS mom has an easy and fun way to keep bugs away at all times.
The simple two-ingredient recipe calls for just limes and whole cloves.
Shannon shared the simple hack on Instagram[/caption] Limes and cloves help prevent mosquitos[/caption]Shannon, better known as @AtHomeWith.Shannon, showed viewers how to cut the limes in half and stick the whole cloves into the flesh of the fruit.
Leaving these out on the table or anywhere close to you while you’re outside will ensure the bugs don’t ruin your day, she says.
She added that she and the kids sometimes use the cloves to make cute smiley faces in the limes, making it a family activity as well.

The TikTok mom regularly shares hacks on her page, and with warmer evenings finally, here, this one is very much needed.
She revealed that she and her kids are “allergic to mosquitoes” which means they end up with nasty red bumps all over their bodies.
“What takes the redness away and the itching is Vicks,” she revealed.
Vicks is commonly used to treat coughs and colds once applied to the skin, so it’s surprising to learn of another clever use for it.

Rather than carrying around a tub of the stuff, the mom says she puts some in an old Chapstick or lip balm container and keeps it in her bag.
Then, at the first sign of a dreaded bite, she can whip it out and rub some Vicks over the area – which, for her, works every time.
The reason it works is that Vicks contains menthol, which is believed to create a cooling sensation, and in turn, stop the itching.
According to Health.com, the formula also has nutmeg oil, which has anti-inflammatory properties – helping to reduce the size of the bump.
