Here are the deals for Bay Area Black Restaurant Week, May 13 – 22
Next week kicks off the start of Black Restaurant Week Bay Area, a celebration of Black-operated restaurants, food trucks and dessert makers that technically runs for 10 days from May 13 to 22. The relatively new event (this is its fourth year here in the Bay) is designed to shine a light on Black food businesses that may not have the funds for extensive marketing. Other cities, such as Houston and Washington, D.C., will host their own events under the Black Restaurant Week umbrella later this year.
Here’s a sampling of the deals on offer in the East, South and, uh, “West Bay” — for a full list of participating businesses, check out the map at BlackRestaurantWeeks.com.
