Lockdown at Vandegrift High School ends, campus returns to normal
AUSTIN (KXAN) — The lockdown at Vandegrift High School for a potential "bomb threat" has ended, according to Leander ISD.
The Travis County Sheriff's Office said after its search, nothing was found. It gave the "all clear."
The district says classes and campus activities are returning to normal. Travis County deputies and Austin police responded to the situation Wednesday morning.
TCSO told KXAN the threat came from a phone call.
Students and staff stayed in the classrooms while authorities searched the area. The LISD security director was also at the scene.
The threat began around 10 a.m. Wednesday.
