Police: Barricade incident at Mountain View nonprofit ‘safely resolved’
A person allegedly involved in a burglary of a Mountain View-based nonprofit organization barricaded themself inside the agency’s headquarters Wednesday morning, according to authorities.
At about 8 a.m. Wednesday, Mountain View police responded to the headquarters of the Community Services Agency at 204 Stierlin Road in Mountain View for a call about a “barricaded individual involved in a burglary at CSA.” Crisis negotiators and county mental health partners responded to the scene and worked to resolve the matter. A section of Stierlin Road was closed-off to the public.
After nearly three hours, police reported that the incident had been “safely resolved” but did not provide any details, including whether the suspect was arrested. Police also have not yet released any information on the suspect, including their identity and relationship to the nonprofit.
Community Services Agency, which serves residents in Mountain View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills, offers a variety of services for low-income seniors and unhoused residents, including food, housing assistance and emergency rental funds.
