Councillors vote to strip ‘disgraceful’ Prince Andrew of Freedom of the City of York
Prince Andrew been stripped of the Freedom of the City of York following a vote by councillors.
All parties supported the motion agreeing that it was no longer appropriate for him to represent the city and its residents.
In scathing opening remarks, the duke was branded ‘an utter disgrace’.
It comes after he made an out of court settlement with the woman who accused him of sexual assault.
