But thanks to one beauty expert’s trick, you no longer have to chop off your gum-tangled hair.

Hair loss specialist and stylist Melissa Anger shared her secret product for removing gum from hair, which you probably already have in your bathroom cabinet.

To demonstrate her trick, Anger rubbed a wad of gum into her hair in a video.

Then she simply picked up a can of hair mousse and massaged it through the gum.

She explained: “Mousse breaks down gum, it disintegrates the gum to where the gum will come right out.”

After massaging in the mousse for a few seconds, Anger was able to gently comb out the gum and was left with mess-free hair.

People in the comment section of Anger’s video were totally impressed by her trick, like one who wrote: “I’ve learned more in the last year on TikTok than my entire life combined.”
