You’re folding your sweaters all wrong – the right way uses one method for every type of sweater and saves space
APPARENTLY, we’ve all been folding our sweaters wrong.
Luckily, a lifestyle guru has revealed the best way to do so while saving space with plenty of time left in winter to nail her method down.
A lifestyle guru believes she knows the bets way to fold a sweater[/caption] She said her method works on all types of sweaters[/caption]“I’m going to fold three of the most common types of sweaters,” the expert, who calls her social media page Keep It Simple Sparkles, said at the top of her video.
“First up: the cozy oversized sweater.”
“Basically your goal with folding sweaters is to create a rectangle and fold it in until it’s small enough for your drawers,” she explained.
As she spoke, she folded the neck of a comfy-looking turtleneck sweater down onto the chest area of the sweater.
Next, she folded a part of the length of each side of the sweater onto the main section of it so that the folds met in the middle.
For the third step, she brought each sleeve onto the folds, leaving a rectangle shape behind.

Finally, she folded it over on itself multiple times until she had a smaller and neat rectangle.
She used the same process on the next two sweaters, showing that any type of sweater can be folded using the same easy steps.
“One fold style is easier to remember and keep up with than three,” she noted.
Finally, she sectioned a drawer into three parts with the help of drawer dividers and showed how easy it was to fit multiple sweaters in the drawer if they are folded properly.
In the comment section, however, the woman admitted she ended up hanging all of her sweaters because she had too many to fit in the drawer.
If that sounds like you, it might be time for a closet clear-out – and the internet is here to help.
An organization expert previously revealed how to go through your closet and decide on which items to keep in three seconds.
Plus, a guru shared three questions you should ask yourself when deciding between keeping and throwing out a garment.
