Sunny, mild temps and waves
Hello Friends,
Cute little line-y waist plusses at Dee Why before 0800 this morning. Nothing spectacular looking as the banks are still mostly delivering shutdowns and the point seemed to be too tiny and inconsistent to have attracted anyone. Wind was coming from the WNW at 4-5 kt, so surface conditions were super clean looking. The swell was ticking along at 1.74m from 174° at 10 seconds. The tide was coming in to a 1.65m high at 0930. There’s an 80% chance of showers later as we head to a mild high of 22C. Meantime, water is still on 19C.
Outlook is for the swell mix to tilt more easterly as the day goes along, but that will happen in the context of increasing easterly wind. So, definitely a case of hitting it early or being left with scraps. A quick glance at the models suggests that the Goat may have the odd hopeful note in his week ahead thoughts later today…
Go well, stay safe and have a top old Thursday!
