Delta Boeing jet forced to make emergency landing after take off due to engine trouble
A DELTA Boeing flight was forced to land immediately after take off in Utah on Tuesday after engine trouble, reports say.
The Delta 757 flight to Memphis took off from Salt Lake City Airport but returned to land 15 minutes later with fire engines escorting it back
A spokesperson for Salt Lake City Airport said it was a result of a bird strike.
The plane had leveled off at about 8,200 ft before being forced to make the emergency landing.
The left-hand engine ingested at least one bird, the Aviation Herald reports.
Crew stopped the climb and returned to the airport.
