Does the Europa League have a British side’s name on it?
The Europa League is awash with British sides in the knockout stages, all of whom are on track to make it through to the Round of 16 and be in with a change of winning the tournament.
In terms of online casino sites, it’s a bit of a roulette wheel, with many of the British sides among the favourites, but what will the ball land on? If indeed it does land on a Premier League side at all?
Manchester United
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are favourites at the moment at 3/1 with many bookmakers and if we continue with the casino analogy, most of what they touch at the moment is returning with the proverbial machine a sous en ligne paying out considerably with the likes of Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes.
They’re a good bet for this one given form and could just edge out their British rivals.
Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs are second favourites for the trophy at 11/2 despite the club’s torrid form in their domestic league. They enjoyed a good first leg against Wolfsberger AC though and are well on track to reach the latter stages of the competition.
Arsenal
The Gunners would love a European trophy and Mikel Arteta’s men are level with Benfica in the Round of 32 at present. It’s a tough tie which has seen them drop to 11/1 to win the competition, behind Villarreal, Ajax and Roma.
Get a win and they’ll place themselves in a good position, but it won’t be easy.
Leicester City
The Foxes are in great form in the Premier League and should navigate the Round of 32 easy enough. It’s in the latter stages where they could come up short, with some big European sides left in the competition. They are priced at 12/1 to win the Europa League, level with AC Milan, who were not long ago favourites.
Rangers
Almost guaranteed to win the Scottish Premiership, Rangers came from behind in their Round of 32 first leg, beating Royal Antwerp 4-3. It would be a huge coup if they were to win the tournament and are outsiders priced currently at 25/1. Stranger things have happened.
