Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo ‘taking break’ from podcast to ‘focus on marriage’ as their ‘relationship has suffered’
JINGER Duggar and husband Jeremy Vuolo are taking a break from their podcast to focus on their “suffering” marriage after becoming “overwhelmed,” a source has exclusively told The Sun.
The TLC reality stars launched their Christian show in June last year, The Hope We Hold, and have grown their following – with hundreds of thousands of fans downloading more than 30 episodes.
But a source close to the couple, who welcomed their second daughter, Evangeline, in November, claims they plan to hit pause on the project in coming weeks to deal with their issues.
“Jinger and Jeremy are experiencing a bump in the road and want to take a step back from the podcast for a while to focus on their marriage,” the insider told The Sun.
“They have been juggling a lot with a new baby, their lifestyle brand and releasing books, all in the middle of a pandemic, they feel a bit overwhelmed and their relationship has suffered.
“They are still very much in love and divorce is not on the cards, they just want to work through things and come out of this difficult period together and stronger as a family.”
The source added: “The podcast has been a huge success with hundreds of thousands of listeners, but they often have to get very personal and they want to deal with this time in private.”
Jeremy, 33, has been receiving a lot of criticism from followers in recent months for the way he treats his wife while recording their podcast episodes, with many begging Jinger to leave him.
Fans have speculated for months that the couple, who married in November 2016, may be having issues.
One social media user claimed he is “constantly interrupting her”.
Another wrote on Reddit: “I don’t know what’s worse, him sneering down at her or the fact that she lets it happen.”
Sharing a photo of the couple doing their podcast, a third user also wrote: “Jinger looks so annoyed by Jerm. If y’all ever want to see the dynamic of their relationship, listen to one of their podcast episodes.”
“She looks like she’s questioning her whole life,” a fourth remarked.
The pair are also considering quitting Counting On because of their “horrible” contract with TLC, a source previously told The Sun exclusively.
They have been on screen for years, with Jinger initially starring on 19 Kids and Counting – which followed her parents, Michelle and Jim Bob, and their huge brood.
She then began appearing on the TLC spin-off, Counting On, with Jeremy.
Asked if the rumors about them quitting the show are true, an insider told The Sun: “Yes. It’s not definite yet, but they are having deep conversations about quitting.
“The contracts with the network are a bit crazy, they are very locked in and it stops them from making money in many other ways.”
Meanwhile, Jinger, 27, who also has two-year-old daughter, Felicity, with Jeremy, was slammed for revealing she had been “pondering the reality” of 2020 amid the pandemic.
The reality star took to Instagram to share a snap of her and her husband sat side-by-side enjoying a hot beverage, along with a length caption.
She told followers: “2020, what a year it’s been. Many people have suffered more this year than they ever have before.
“Many have wept over the loss of a loved one. Countless have lost their source of income. Depression and anxiety running rampant as the future remains uncertain.
“I have been pondering the reality of what has taken place this past year. It’s a year that has shaken not only the US but the entire world.
“How easy it is for us to place our confidence in health, finances, or even government.”
Jinger continued: “I have been reminded more over the past year of the truth of God’s ultimate control over all things.
“Who could’ve predicted at the beginning of 2020 that it would’ve unfolded the way it did? And yet, none of what has taken place this past year is a surprise to God.
“He is still in control. He is still on His throne. His promises are still true.”
But many people were quick to comment on the thread and slam Jinger for her actions throughout the pandemic, including going out maskless with Jeremy and her family.
One wrote: “This coming from a person who flew her mother and sister across the country to visit a newborn, a mother and sister who I might add are never seen wearing masks in public, just some sorry bandana, once.”
