Video: Redknapp claims Spurs would not be in title conversation if Liverpool had everyone fit
Jamie Redknapp has suggested that Tottenham have a chance of winning the Premier League this season but only because Liverpool are ravaged by injuries and Manchester City are not at their best.
Spurs played out a hard-fought 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge yesterday evening and the point was enough to take them back to the top of the table after Liverpool were held to a draw by Brighton on Saturday.
It was once again a pretty pragmatic display from the North Londoners, who were happy to defend with men behind the ball, soak up the pressure and try to hit Chelsea on the counter.
Redknapp believes that Jose Mourinho’s men will continue to play the same way and any potential title challenge from Spurs is likely to be built on a stubborn defence.
Here’s what the pundit told Sky Sports about Tottenham’s title hopes after their 0-0 draw against Chelsea:
"I don't think we'd be having this discussion if #LFC had everybody fit and #MCFC were the team of a few years ago."
Could the timing be perfect for Jose Mourinho's 'pragmatic' #THFC? ⚪ pic.twitter.com/XmQQnfQLPg
