Mr Frost, originally from South Africa, fought back tears as he read a card he left at the scene of the attack.
He told BBC Breakfast: “I reflect on the events involuntarily. I have flashbacks, I see things, I recall the conversations, I see people suffering and this has impacted me.
“I’ve gone through a bout of depression and sleep is the challenging one where my brain won’t shut off.
“I can’t control my brain, I still relive the trauma.”
He also described the dramatic scenes on London Bridge, as he desperately clung to Khan in an attempt to save the lives of those around him.
Mr Frost said: “I had to shift my body to cover his head to protect him. I said: ‘Don’t hit him, take the knives from him.’
“I was the last person on Khan when the police arrived.
“They had their guns pointed at me and at Khan’s head and they were shouting ‘move away, move away’.
“I was holding him because I believed he had this bomb he could set off and he’d kill everyone.”
Cops dragged Mr Frost off the terrorist, and the killer was shot dead by police.
Khan entered Fishmongers’ Hall in Central London and went on a stabbing rampage.
He then made his way to London Bridge but was pinned down by heroes who tackled him with a fire extinguisher and the narwhal tusk.
