UFC star Conor McGregor appears to confirm Dustin Poirier fight on December 12 after tweeting poster

CONOR MCGREGOR has released a fight poster for his showdown with Dustin Poirier – but he seems determined not to have it in UFC.

Notorious challenged Poirier, 31, to a charity fight in Dublin that was ‘nothing to do with the UFC’ yesterday.

Poirier, who lost to McGregor at UFC 178 in 2014, immediately accepted and then UFC president Dana White says he has offered the pair a fight under his banner too.

However, it seems the Irishman has no intention of taking on Diamond under the banner of UFC, with his poster showing the clash as a charity showdown.

The news comes just days after McGregor sensationally said he was set to box Manny Pacquiao in the Middle East, a claim which White denied.

Asked if he had spoken to the Irishman after McGregor accused him of “breaking the code”, White told Barstool Sports said: “Conor and I have not talked outside the public stuff.

“The Saudis went after Conor and said it’s a lie that the [Pacquiao] fight is happening and ‘you better take it down in the next 15 minutes or we are going to sue you’.

“And he took it down. You don’t see the poster anymore about him and Pacquiao that he had posted.

“Then he called out Poirier for a fight in Dublin for charity so we offered them both a fight.

“We offered Conor and Dustin a fight and we are waiting to hear back from both of them.”

Poirier had already replied to McGregor’s charity fight proposal and he also tweeted ‘I accept’ after news of White’s offer emerged.

After McGregor’s beef with White went public. he tweeted: “Anyway all water under the bridge who gives a fook. I’m boxing Manny Pacquiao next in the Middle East.”

“It will be a true honour to have faced two of the greatest boxers of the modern era, afraid of a fight.”
