Ozzy Osbourne reveals he ‘felt the calmest’ while trying to KILL wife Sharon
MANY couples celebrate their wedding anniversaries, but Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are celebrating her survival.
In a new US documentary, the pair relive the time he tried to “calmly” kill her in 1989 while he was high on drugs.
The Black Sabbath rocker, who recently revealed he is battling Parkinson’s disease, also said he is taking antidepressants to help him deal with being isolated at home during the pandemic.
Reflecting on her near-death experience 31 years ago, Sharon said: “I put the kids to bed, bathed them — we had a nanny living at the house then — and I was sat down reading.

“He came into the room. I had no idea who was sat across from me on the sofa but it wasn’t my husband. He goes to a stage where he gets that look in his eyes, the shutters were down and I just couldn’t get through to him. And he just said, ‘We’ve come to a decision that you’ve got to die’.
“He was calm — very calm — then suddenly he lunged across at me and just dived on me and started to choke me. He got me down on the ground on top of me and I was feeling for stuff on the table. I felt the panic button and I just pressed it and the next thing I know, the cops were there.”
The incident happened when the couple, who have three kids, were living in Buckinghamshire. Sharon, 67, added: “All I could think of was the kids. ‘There’s no way I’m leaving my kids.’ So it was probably the most frightened that I had ever been.”
Speaking on The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, which airs tomorrow in the US on the A&E channel, Ozzy insisted the episode was very different for him.
The 71-year-old singer said: “I felt the calmest I had ever felt in my life. I was just peaceful. It’s not exactly one of my greatest achievements.” Ozzy went on: “All I remember is waking up in Amersham jail and I asked the cop, ‘Why am I here?’ And he says, ‘You want me to read your charge?’ So he read, ‘John Michael Osbourne, you have been arrested for attempted murder’.”
Incredibly, Sharon admits that, while close to divorcing him, she always wanted to stay with Ozzy for the sake of the kids. She said: “Thank God the judge put him in treatment for six months. I had time to really think about what he should do. I told him, ‘I don’t want the money but if you do this again, either I am going to kill you or you are going to kill me. And do you want that for the kids?’”
Fortunately, the couple managed to get past the incident, along with many others, and are now living in LA. Speaking about dealing with his depression since coronavirus hit, Ozzy said: “When I am in a room on my own, it is a bad fg place. Our heads are our worst enemies in times like this because people are locked up and worried about this pandemic.
“They need to unload because if you do not unload, you’ll get depressed. My therapist suggested that I start meditating again. I am on this new antidepressant which is working wonders.”

It comes after Clare and wife Alice’s cat had a litter of gorgeous grey kitties. Jane said on her Fortunately podcast: “I’m convinced she promised me one of those kittens.
“Anyway, I can’t have one now because they’ve all gone. We didn’t have an agreement in writing but it’s just one of those little sadnesses.”

CELEB FINAL’S DANCE DODGE
THE live final of I’m A Celebrity is set to move from a Sunday night to a Friday so it doesn’t have to compete with BBC1 rival Strictly Come Dancing.
ITV bosses want the show’s 20th series, hosted by Ant and Dec, to draw in maximum viewers so are keen to avoid a head-to-head battle with the Beeb dance juggernaut’s results show.
Producers have already pulled out all the stops after they were forced to move filming from the Australian jungle to North Wales due to coronavirus restrictions – and splashed on hiring Gwrych Castle in its entirety.
A telly source said: “The autumn TV schedule is packed with content as people spend cold evenings on the sofa in front of the box. So I’m A Celeb bosses have pushed for the final to be on a Friday night for the first time so they don’t have to share audiences with Strictly and can dominate the viewers.
“ITV has ploughed close to £1million into the series and want to make it a success. So they aren’t taking any chances.”
A spokesman for ITV declined to comment. We reckon the celebs will be ready to return to normality a couple of days early after dealing with the rain, cold . . . and ghosts.
JO SAYS NO TO SURGERY

The face of Q By Quiz clothing told us: “I’ve been offered surgery, lip fillers and fat freezing for free and I turn it all down. It’s not for me. My lips are small and I’m insecure about them but I haven’t had filler put in. I use make-up and lots of lipliner.
“I want to show young girls that you don’t have to get cosmetic surgery.”
Jo is now friends with ex Michael Griffiths. She said: “It’s important not to carry negative weight on your shoulders.”
ANT AND DEC: HOW WE SAVED DAME SHIRLEY
ANT and Dec claim they saved Dame Shirley Bassey‘s life when she nearly fell off a golf buggy. The trio were being driven to meet The Queen at her 90th birthday party at Windsor Castle in 2016 just after Dame Shirley sang for Her Majesty.
Ant said: “We were told, ‘You have to get Shirley off stage before the national anthem starts’. That was our mission. We had to meet the Queen in a line-up.
“The problem is, she (Dame Shirley) just loves performing and she loves saying goodbye. There was a lot of ‘Goodbye, darlings! Thank you, darlings!’ We’re going, ‘Shirley, you’ve got to get off!’”
Dec added: “Finally we’re all in a buggy and Shirley got in the third seat, which faces backwards. The driver says, ‘Are we all in?’ We say yes. The only problem was Shirley wasn’t really holding on.”
Ant continued: “Shirley went flying nearly face-first into the mud. But we grabbed her by the sequin dress and pulled her back in. We saved her life, basically.”

We can reveal he has grown close to The Crown’s Princess Diana, actress Emma Corrin, after taking Emma’s pooch Spencer for walks. A source said: “Harry totally fell in love with Emma’s dog and offered to walk him.
“He lives nearby and can pop in and they can spend some time together. Harry’s all over the world and can’t get a dog of his own, so this works perfectly. Spencer loves spending time with Harry.”
As long as Harry doesn’t take him off in the wrong direction . . .
