A NURSING home patient, 75, died two months after he was beaten on camera by his roommate, 20, in a case highlighted by Trump.
Norman Bledsoe died two months after video of his roommate punching him in the face until he bled emerged.
Bledsoe’s family said that he had been depressed and was not eating after the alleged attack in the Michigan facility, WJBK reported.
The reported incident occurred at Westwood Nursing Center in Detroit.
“His eating habits went downhill after (the alleged assault), and he lost quite a bit of weight,” nephew Kevin Bledsoe told The Detroit News.
During the alleged attack – which Norman’s roommate, Jaden Hayden, posted online – Hayden was seen calmly facing the camera before he climbed on the bed.
He was seen smiling as he repeatedly punched the man in the head.
Bledsoe tried to defend himself and crawl off the bed as he was punched around 60 times.
Hayden grabbed the man by the neck and pulled off the bed.
He then turned the camera to show blood streaming from the victim’s face.
“This b**ch-a** n***a wouldn’t get off my bed,” Hayden said.
Hayden told staff at the nursing home staff that Bledsoe had fallen out of bed when they found him bleeding from both sides of his head on May 15, prosecutors said.
Following the alleged attack, Hayden was charged with with two counts of assault, larceny and two counts of stealing a financial transaction device following the incident.
Bledsoe suffered four broken fingers, a broken jaw and broken ribs from the attack, WJBK reported.
As video of the incident emerged, President Trump tweeted about the incident.
The Bledsoe family plans to sue the nursing home, attorney Geoffrey Fieger told Detroit News.
As the video of the alleged attack on Bledsoe was posted, a separate gruesome video appearing to show the same man attacking another elderly victim emerged.
The video showed a similar attack to the first, as a man lay incapacitated in bed.
President Trump brought attention to the incident when the video emerged.
“Is this even possible to believe? Can this be for real? Where is this nursing home, how is the victim doing?” Trump tweeted.

Hayden’s father told WJBK in May – around the time of the alleged attack – that his son has autism and suffered from other health issues.
“I just don’t want people to think that he’s this vicious individual. He’s got mental issues,” his father told the outlet.
Hayden is expected in court on Thursday. Officials will then determine if he is competent to stand trial, WJBK reported.
