- The FBI reportedly used one of its most advanced spy planes to monitor the Black Lives Matter demonstrations in DC in early June.
- This is not the first time the plane has been used to surveil Black Lives Matter protests and was previously used in Baltimore during the unrest that followed the death of Freddie Gray.
- Protesters have always worried about being tracked by authorities at demonstrations.

The FBI used one of its most advanced spy plans to monitor the Black Lives Matter protests in DC earlier this month, Buzzfeed's Peter Aldhous reported. He also found that this is not the first time the aircraft has been used to surveil Black Lives Matter protests and that it was also used in 2015 during the Baltimore Uprising after the death of Freddie Gray.
"The FBI is supporting our state, local, and federal law enforcement partners with maintaining public safety in the communities we serve," the FBI told Buzzfeed News. "Our efforts are focused on identifying, investigating, and disrupting individuals that are inciting violence and engaging in criminal activity. The FBI respects those who are exercising their First Amendment rights, including the right to peacefully protest."See the rest of the story at Business Insider
