Charlotte Crosby says new romance with Liam Beaumont was sparked by ‘Cupid’ Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty
CHARLOTTE Crosby has revealed her new romance was sparked by a most unlikely Cupid . . . the Government’s Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty.
The Geordie Shore star had been dating hunky Liam Beaumont for just three weeks when lockdown meant the only way they could continue seeing each other was if they started living together.

She told The Sun on Sunday: “We had to either move in together or not see each other.
“It was hearing the Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty, who advised that if you want to see your boyfriend or girlfriend you have to move in — so you could say Chris made us take the leap of faith.
“Before then we’d only spent about two or three weeks together in total, so we had to make that decision right then and there, which was really scary.

“We’ve had to learn to get to know each other in a whole different way than we ever would have done in a normal situation.”
In an exclusive interview, glamorous Charlotte has told how intimate moments have been kept to a minimum because the couple were living with her parents at the start — with them only managing to steal occasional clinches when her family went out to the shops.
She is desperate to go back into a beauty salon once they reopen next month and says she has been compensating by wearing more make-up while relying on her mum to put in her hair extensions.
The pair started living together after Chris Whitty advised moving in with your partner if you wanted to see them during lockdown[/caption]Charlotte, who won Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, started dating photographer Liam, also 30, in Dubai in February, straight after filming the Australian version of I’m A Celebrity in South Africa.
The pair hit it off instantly, cementing their romance with a flurry of international text messages.
She said: “There was no time difference that could have kept us apart. Even when one of us was going to bed on the other side of the world we’d stay up for an extra two hours in the middle of the night just texting.”
Then lockdown struck on March 23. Mr Whitty issued rigid guidelines forcing couples in the early stages of relationships to either self-isolate separately or move in together for the duration of the lockdown to help halt the spread of coronavirus.

She once had a steamy clinch in front of her Geordie Shore housemates during an episode of the raunchy reality show, but she said: “The sex has been a bare minimum and there’s been nothing naughty.
“We’ve bought a badminton set though, so we’ve been playing that.”
She also admitted the open-plan layout of her parents’ home made it even more challenging for the fledgling couple to share X-rated moments.
She added: “The house is like one of those Grand Designs properties and we don’t even have proper doors downstairs.
“My bedroom is downstairs and I don’t have a door, it’s weird. It slides along from side to side rather than closing shut.
“There’s no privacy. We have to just grin and bear it. Or wait until everyone’s out at the shop.”
Despite their limited bedroom liaisons, tattooed Liam, who travels the world creating content for bars, restaurants and hotels, has won Charlotte’s heart with a series of romantic gestures, including presenting her with lavish gifts on her 30th birthday last month.
She said: “It’s still that awkward stage where I would feel embarrassed to open a present from him because we still don’t really know each other.
“So I made a big point that I would be more than happy with a bunch of flowers and a card.
“But in the end Liam got me a massive bunch of flowers, this huge 6ft teddy and a lovely card with some really nice words in. He did really well considering the circumstances.”
As well as freedom in the bedroom, the other thing Charlotte misses most during the lockdown is . . . beauty salons.
Charlotte, pictured before the surgery, had her implants removed in May last year[/caption]Once best known for her wild nights out on Geordie Shore, she said: “I have not missed pubs or clubs at all and if I never set foot in another one in my life I’m not bothered.“
“I honestly do not care. The thing I’ve missed the most is salons.
“Normally I love to walk into a salon and get my hair done. I’ve got stick-on nails at the minute. You can keep them on for three to four days max.
“I’ve whacked a little bit of extra make-up on. But there are some things you just can’t physically do.

Charlotte also insists she would now rather have a quiet night in than a wild night out.
“I’ll go out for a friend’s birthday for a little Jägerbomb or if they’ve got something to celebrate but I don’t go out anywhere nearly as much I used to when I was on Geordie Shore.
“The truth is I’ve never really enjoyed alcohol and now I drink water most of the time, which I think is why my skin is so good at the moment.”
The star has amassed a reported personal fortune of more than £2million[/caption]These days canny entrepreneur Charlotte, who has 15million social media followers, devotes much of her time to supporting charities including the Anthony Nolan Trust, Peta and the Autistic Society.
She has amassed a reported personal fortune of more than £2million.
But she insists she has not hit premature middle age. She said: “I haven’t started watching Newsnight yet. That’s what Twitter is for.”
Another big change in Charlotte’s life is the size of her boobs.

Her left breast had become painful and medics said her body had begun rejecting the implants.
Charlotte, who has been hosting Lockdown Laughs on MTV, said: “In the end I regretted them.
“I’ve had implants put in at the same time as a procedure to correct symmastia (a problem with the skin and muscle between the breasts) and I’ve had them taken out.

“I feel a lot skinnier — I felt really fat with them in — but I’m still happier and if I could stay the shape I am now for ever I would.
“Though I have to say I did enjoy how sexy having bigger boobs made me feel and I liked the experience in the bedroom with bigger boobs.
“I’ll definitely look back at the year that I did have huge boobs and think, ‘I really enjoyed that part of my life’. ”
