Blood’s Jim horrified as he accidentally impales gangster Kian on machinery while trying to save Paul
BLOOD’S Jim was left horrified tonight after he accidentally impaled gangster Kian on a piece of machinery while trying to save Paul.
The third episode of the second series saw tensions mount on all fronts as Paul struggled to decide whether to bow to pressure from Kian and help him steal Gillian’s prized horse.
After a mental battle with himself, he decided to do the right thing and lock the stables up as usual, stopping the gangster from getting to the animal.
But this immediately sparked rage in Kian, who later cornered Paul on his way home and bundling him into the back of his car before driving him to his caravan.
Once inside, Paul was bound and beaten by Kian, as he cried: “You f***ed me, I’m not going to die for you!”
Meanwhile back at Paul’s house, his wife Fiona and her dad Jim were discussing where he was when Fiona unwittingly mentioned Paul’s ‘pal’ Kian.

Jim instantly realised something was wrong and made his excuses to leave so as not to worry Fiona.
He eventually found out Paul’s whereabouts and arrived at the caravan just as Kian was trying to choke Paul to death.
Jim pulled Kian off an unconscious Paul but as he tried to tend to him, Kian lunged at him again.
Jim flung Kian across the messy living room of the caravan, where he crashed into a unit before falling to the floor, where blood started spilling from his mouth.

Jim initially didn’t realise what had happened to Kian as he was busy trying to rouse Paul, but looking across, he saw Kian choking on the blood and realised something terrible had happened.
Turning his body over as he stopped moving, a sharp piece of machinery was impaled into Kian’s stomach, leaving Jim horrified having realised he had killed him by accident.
The episode ended with Jim looking at the two bodies lying prone on the floor of the caravan, unsure what to do next.
Blood continues on Thursday, April 30 at 9pm on Channel 5.
