Our Girl fans in tears as Georgie confronts dead fiancé Elvis’ ‘killer’
OUR Girl fans were in left in tears as Georgie Lane confronted her dead fiancé Elvis Harte’s killer.
In emotional scenes tonight, the Lance Corporal, played by Michelle Keegan, came face to face with Aatan Omar, in a bid to bring him to justice.
Viewers couldn’t contain themselves as a tearful Georgie showed him a picture on her phone of Elvis.
She said: “I’m the girl whose future you stole, Elvis Hart?e He was my fiancé.
“You lured my fiancé into a trap, a radio controlled IED.
“Look at him, he had his whole life ahead of him, and you took him from me.”
As the tears poured down her cheeks, she added: “Because of you I’m broken. Have you got nothing to say?”
Omar remained silent, but this triggered something else in Georgie, who told her friend Prof as they left: “I thought I’d know, as soon as I saw him, if he was sorry…I mean there was nothing, not even a flicker.”
When Prof (Nico Mirallegro) asked what she meant, she said: “You’ll think I’m mad, but there’s just something about him, I don’t know.
“War lords aren’t exactly shy in coming forwards are they? He was just lying there confused.”
Considering her recent actions and state of mind, Prof replied: “Your head has been all over the place, things aren’t as you imagine them to be.”
Viewers were in tears at this scene, with one tweeting: “Georgie is making me cry #OurGirl.”
While this one said: “Georgie breaks my heart #OurGirl.”
Another commented: “Georgie breaks my heart when she talks about elvis #OurGirl.”
Elvis, played by Luke Pasqalino, joined the cast of Our Girl in series two.
He had a tough time trying to regain the trust of his Georgie who he’d jilted at the altar a few days before her tour to Kenya.
She had already moved on with Dr Jamie Cole.
However in series three he managed to get to her back and they got engaged for a second time.
Elvis exited Our Girl in the epic series three finale as 2 section attempted to evade enemy attack and make it back to Kabul.
The platoon were ambushed by Afghans and Elvis ended up being killed when a bomb was detonated remotely.
Georgie desperately tried to revive him but it was too late.
